Survival is binary.īetween its overwhelming symbolism, depressing themes, and unwavering punishment, Little Nightmares 2 encourages you to see light in all the darkness and just keep trying. There’s no element of homing your attack or giving you a break for missing a long jump by pixels. Little Nightmares 2 is clearly going for an OG Silent Hill vibe, where you’re playing as an exposed everyman who lacks the experience to fight competently, and the game refuses to give you just that little bit of leeway.

The character signals a step away from the more caricature-like monsters of the series’ past, but it doesn’t lose those body-horror elements that made those forerunners so grotesque.
